Each year youTheology is open to up to 20 high school youth from the Midwest.
Application process includes completing an application form and obtaining 2 references.
Participants are selected from those who commit to attending all sessions and meeting with a local mentor.
YouTheology is an opportunity for you to explore and experience your faith as you make friends, worship, serve, study, travel, and work with a mentor. Youth from the Midwest are selected through a nomination and application process to be part of a community of "youTheologians."
Youth may be nominated or apply directly to be considered for youtheology. The application process includes completing an application form, obtaining parental consent and 2 references (or 1 nomination + 1 reference), answering 4 essay questions, and submitting the name of a local mentor. For forms and/or more details, check out the Application Process + Forms link at the top of this page.
Because the program is limited to only 20 participants, youth are expected to make youTheology their top priority and attend all sessions. While emergencies may occur, any unexcused absence from weekend sessions during the year may cause one to forfeit the opportunity to participate in the rest of the program. In addition, each youth is expected to identify a non-related adult as a local mentor and meet at least once per month with this person.
