Application/ Nomination forms

There are two ways youth can be considered for participation in youTheology:
  • adults nominate high school youth
  • high school youth apply directly

    Application Process
    1) Download application materials(or request from the youTheology office) youth application, pastor nomination form, adult reference form, and local mentor information sheet.

    2) Complete the youth participant application form, including four short-answer essay questions and parental consent. It's especially important to provide your most reliable email address.

    3) Submit one nomination form completed by your pastor and one adult reference form. Ask a non-relative who knows you well to complete a reference form on your behalf. Be sure you've included the names and contact info for both your pastor and referee on your application. These should be sent directly to youTheology.

    4) Ask a non-related adult at least five years out of high school to serve as your local mentor. When you ask, give him/her the "What is a Local Mentor" sheet to review. Be sure you've included his/her name and contact info on your application.

    5) Commit to attending all sessions and meeting regularly with a local mentor throughout the program. Mentors need approval from the participant's parent(s), will undergo a screening process including references and background checks, and are expected to attend the mentor training as part of the August Orientation Weekend.

    6) Once accepted, applicants will be required to pay a $250 registration fee and to sign a Conduct Covenant. The covenant indicates your commitment to attend each weekend session, behave appropriately, and treat all participants respectfully. Mentor screening forms will be sent at this time.
